A Happy New Year.
I can’t believe that this is already 2009.
I have so much things I want to do this year.
Such as study acting, English writing
and improve our watercolor class.
Also, I will go back to Yosemite for this year.
I missed it last year.

One early morning
 
At first, I saw them when I was crossing a street.
There was a car parked on the other side of the street.
The little feet moving under it. I thought they are cats.
Some people let their cats out at night.
When I take a morning walk, I enjoy them a company here and there.
I am a cats lover.

When I got to the other side of the car.
I looked and found what all those feet belongs to.
 It was a mother racoon with five babies. 

I have been doing my morning walk in this area for last fifteen years.
And I saw a racoon only one other time.
It was about three month ago. A pair of adult one.
They were playing each other.
And now I see mother and five babies.

They were not afraid a human at all.
They came toward me and passed me cross the street.
I was standing there, looking at them for while.
I wished that if I have a  camera I could have nice picture.
But then, it was before sun rise, not enough light for a photo.
If I use a flash, it makes animal's eyes red.

Anyway, I was happy to see those cute creatures.
I felt this is a good start for a day.

Cosmos

There were lot of cosmos flower in my back yard.
I cut them down most of them last year.
I had plan to change that area little.
Which I didn’t do it.
There are some flower came back.
But It’s much quieter this year.

I painted this cosmos flower
look through my bed room window.
It was hot day.
A strong afternoon sun made beautiful contrast.
Because of interesting light,
I like to paint early morning or late afternoon.

Does anyone visit this blog? or am I all alone?
There is no way to know that how many visitor to this blog.
I feel lonesome.
Or is there way to find hit count that I don’t know.
Well, I have lot of things to learn how to use this blog.
I write Japanese one, too.
And that one is so easy to use.

Uruguay. Sun light in the early morning was so peaceful.
I did quick sketch on the street and took photograph.

This painting I have down year ago.
I try to experiment with color.
I need to have little courage to do this kind of adventure.
But I think I did pretty good job.

I try to break my tightness all this time.
And it is hard and long road.
But I have to do it.

I joined SGFAA (San Gabriel Fine art association) last year.

We had spring show on April (Last weekend).
 I entered 3 paintings.
It's always refreshing to see other artist work.
It gives me lot of energy to challenge new thing.
We are going to have Summer show on August.
It's abstract painting show.
I already have lot of idea for that.
I am looking forward to this show.

I went to Montevideo Uruguay.
My first trip to down South.
It was for TV. commercial shooting.
But I took lot of photograph for my painting later.
A painting above is one of paintings I painted from photograph.
Weather was nice people are friendly.
I had great time.
Most of all, I didn't have to worry any expense,
except my own shopping.
